For the second year running The Old Yard Tapas Bar has been awarded the Best Independent Bar in Darlington and the Overall Award for The Best Bar None in Darlington.

Best Bar None is a very prestigious national award scheme, supported by the Home Office, requiring the very highest of standards.

Best Bar None raises standards and rewards excellence for those venues that attain the Award standard. This is delivered at a local level by active partnerships between the industry, local authorities and police.

Sam has kindly sent in this photo from an evening in the Tapas Bar in November 2010. It just so happened that award winning radio personality Chris Moyles was dining on the same evening (which also happened to be Sams birthday) so Sam and friends had their photo taken with him. The Tapas Bar was also mentioned the following day on Chris Moyles show.

Please Note: The following news entry was posted after winning the Best Independent Bar & Overall Award for The Best Bar None for 2010 last year. We’re pleased to announce that we received the same prestigious awards this year 2011 and will be posting photos from the event shortly.

On Thursday 18th November the Blackwell Grange Hotel hosted the Best Bar None awards in Darlington. Best Bar None is a very prestigious national award scheme, supported by the Home Office, requiring the very highest of standards.

The Old Yard Tapas Bar was awarded the Best Independent Bar in Darlington, then to cap it all, the Overall Award for The Best Bar None in Darlington.
